Merry Christmas!!

We spent Christmas Eve afternoon with
Grandma and Grandpa Beck. Christmas Eve
night we spent with Grandma and Grandpa
Gibson.

We sure enjoyed watching Kira and Alyssa
open their presents from Uncle Kevin and
Grandma and Grandpa Beck.

Kira opened up Cinderalla light up glass slippers
from Grandma and Grandpa.

Alyssa enjoyed sitting on her daddy's lap to
open her christmas gift which was an outfit.

One of Kira's favorite gifts was a rock star
outfit.

Alyssa got a little people farm and loved it.
Daddy sure did a good job being Santa this year.

We had a good Christmas and we hope
that 2009 will be another great year for us.
We sure enjoyed the newsletters and cards that
we got from friends and family.

Happy 1st Birthday Alyssa!!

Alyssa's one year old birthday cake.

Grandma, Grandpa, Kevin, Arlen, Kira, Alyssa and I
celebrated Alyssa and Uncle Arlen's birthday at
Grandma and Grandpa Beck's house.

Everyone enjoyed watching Alyssa dig into her
piece of the cake.

I thought Alyssa was going to have cake
everywhere. ALyssa really only had cake on
her hands and face.

Alyssa sure enjoyed digging into the cake with
a fork.
It was so fun visit with my family for Alyssa's
birthday. I sure enjoy doing things with my family.
They are always so kind and thoughtful.
Nate had to fly to Arkansas on a business trip the
day of Alyssa's birthday so he was not home to
celebrate with our family.

Disneyland with Friends!!

Kira, Alyssa and I got to go to Disneyland for the day.

Kennedy Slagle, Brooklyn Slagle, Kira Gibson
and in front Natalie Slagle.

Our good friends from Utah came down for
Thanksgiving and went to Disneyland with us. We sure had a blast.

Kira really enjoyed being at Disneyland with
everything decorated for the Christmas holidays.
(I don't have a picture of Alyssa because she was
asleep in the stroller.)

If you haven't been to Disneyland the last two
years you haven't seen the Castle decorated
for the Christmas Holiday. It has icicle lights
all over it and is covered in snow. This picture
is not the best because is sure is really neat
to see it in person.

Kira's favorite character is Buzlightyear.
We stopped to watch the Christmas parade.
Love to see all the characters dancing.

Alyssa say Cheese!!

Alyssa has learned to pull herself up on furniture and so I was trying to take pictures of her but she decided to lay on the floor. When I would take a picture of her the orange light would come on from the camera and she would squint her eyes shut and smile. Alyssa is now 11 months old.

Silly Alyssa!!

Sleeping Beauty Bargin!!

Kira really wanted to be Sleeping Beauty this year
but I couldn't come to terms with buying a dress that was very expensive.
As we were walking around JcPenney's
I noticed these costumes on the rack in the isle.
This costume was marked $60 originally.
It was marked down to $20 and then I had a $10 off coupon.
I got this Sleeping Beauty Dress for $10.
I love great bargains.

Kira's first Pony Ride

We went to Oak Glenn with Uncle Robert and Aunt Amy.
Kira got to ride a pony for the first time.

Oak Glenn is an apple country.
You can go and pick apples and you can make your own apple cider.
Oak Glenn is off the 10 freeway and Yucaipia.
It is about thirty minutes from our new home.
We had a great time hanging out with Nate's brother
Robert and his wife Amy
and walking around in the little shops
and watching Kira ride the pony.
We went to Oak Glenn for Michelle's Birthday.
I had never been to an apple orchard,
wanted to do something fun and get out of the house.

We are proud of you Kevin!!

Kevin has wanted to be a police officer since he was a little child. When Kevin told the family that he was going to become a police officer we were scared but as you can see Kevin will make a great police officer and will do it well.

When we go over to Grandma and Grandpa Becks house and when Uncle Kevin would come home Kira would always call him Arlen so finally Kevin said, "I am number one." So Kira has never forgot who is number one.

Proud Uncle and is number one!!

Alyssa, Kevin, Kira

This is Kevin receiving his diploma from the president of Fullerton College. When Kevin's name was called you could hear all of those that where there to be of great support to Kevin.

Kevin graduated from the Fullerton Police Academy, November 1, 2008 and is now applying at a few different City's to become a police officer. He truly is a proud brother and uncle. We love you.

Nate decided at the last moment on Saturday
morning that we should get in the car and go
to Lake Arrowhead. I had never been there
so I was excited to go and was glad to
get out of the house. The girls enjoyed getting
out of the house too. It was a perfect day to
go, nice and cool. Kira enjoyed
going to the pumpkin patch and walking
around the little shops.

What were they thinking??

I knew when we moved to our new home that I would receive a new calling. Our first sunday in our new ward I could see that the ward was small and that there was a few callings that need to be filled but I thought I would always be safe in Primary. Well, I was wrong. I was shock when I got the call to be come the ENRICHMENT Conuselor. It has been along time since I have been in Relief Society and I almost never went to enrichment.
I told Nate that it was time to move.:)
I really hope I can do my best!!.
If any one has any good ideas for enrichment please e-mail me.
All ideas are appreicated.

First day of preschool

Kira's first day of Preschool!!

Kira is attending Las Families Preschool at a church building. I am very happy to say that Kira really likes to be with the other children (her freinds). Kira is starting to see that some children don't understand her if she doesn't use her clear words. I am so proud of Kira. She is strong and she is independent.

A new fashion!!

Nate and I were outside trying to get
some yard work done when Kira went
into the garge and found her some
intertainment. She found her easter
egg basket and a intertube that had deflated.
It is so fun to see little children use their
imagination.

When Kira got to the beach she didn't want anything to do with the water but as soon as Uncle Robert took her into the water she couldn't get enough. Uncle Robert made it so much fun that she ran in and out of the water. We were so happy to be able to spend time with Uncle Robert and Aunt Amy and Aunt Elaine while they were here.

We love you!!
